The core of this collection is empowerment. Heavily inspired by the elements and origins of the men's suit, this collection seeks to establish what empowerment through dress might look like in the 21st century.
"Everyone knows that clothes are social phenomena; changes in dress are social changes... but since suits have stayed virtually the same for two hundred years, their continuity must illustrate something else." - Anne Hollander
This collection is extremely versatile and can be easily mixed, matched, and layered. In consideration of the young professional, this collection focuses on comfort and ease. Consisting of mainly wool, jersey, knit, and cotton, this collection is soft, ergonomic, and layers well. The starting point of this collection was the pullover blazer; the jersey neckline and soft lining fabric seeks to make the young professional feel as though they are wearing their favorite hoodie, when really it is a clean, workplace blazer. The silhouettes in this collection tend to be classic, focus
heavily on fit. Adaptions are made in the seaming and garment details.
